WORSHIP SERVICE -
Theme for next Sunday is, “Ephphatha, Be Opened”
In our Gospel lesson for next Sunday, a man who was deaf and mute was brought to Jesus for healing, and He healed him. Thank goodness, none of us are deaf or mute. Or are we? Maybe we are not deaf, we can hear, but do we listen? We can speak, but do we speak of Christ whenever we have the opportunity? Maybe we need our ears and tongue opened too. I pray that will happen to all of us this coming Sunday.
COMING EVENTS IN SEPTEMBER -
Starting in September we will launch a new program at Good Shepherd called: GET UP & GO. Each month we will choose a new destination to go and see something of interest in our area. In September we will start it off with a trip to The Great Smokey Mountains National Park on Wednesday, September 22nd. We will meet at church, pool our rides and leave at 5 PM. Bring a folding chair, lap robe, binoculars, cameras, sandwich, etc. after viewing the elk we will return to church for a delicious ice cream sundae. There is a sign up sheet on the board in the church kitchen along with brochures. We have all been stuck in the house for far too long. It’s time to GET UP & GO. Let’s go see the elk together.

PICTURE DIRECTORY -
Next Sunday, September 12th we will begin taking pictures for our bi-annual Church Directory. There will be a sign up sheet for you to register in the Welcome Center on the bulletin board. If you need to have an appointment other than Sunday before Church, call Moose Lab at 634-4269 and make an appointment.
FLOWER CHART -
If you would like to dedicate flowers placed on the altar for someone you want to remember, please sign up on the chart in the Narthex. Price is $15 per Sunday.
LITTLE RED PANTRY -
Remember to pick up a few extra things the next time you are shopping and bring them to church. Items can be left on the shelves in the hall way behind the kitchen. We’ll see that they are put in the pantry. May God richly bless you for your kindness.
